|Tying Instructions: Griffiths Gnat|
|1. Create a thread base and attach a fine wire ribbing to the start of the bend on the hook.
|2. Attach a Grizzly hackle by the butt with the concave side facing you. The hackle should be no longer than 1.5 x's the hook gap. Also tie in 3 herls by the tip and secure. Wrap thread to about one hook eye length behind the eye. |
|3. Wrap the herl around the wire ribbing and bring the reinforced peacock forward over thread base to just behind the eye.|
4. Wind Hackle forward over peacock and tie off. Whip finish and apply head cement.|
