Lower Owens River Area

Pleasant Valley Campground

This is a Inyo County park with 200 spaces at 4,200 ele. Located 7 miles NW of Bishop. Turn north on Pleasant Valley Road off Hwy 395 and go i mile to the camp. There are no reserverations. Fees are $10.00 per night. It is adjacent to the Lower Owens River and the Wild Trout Section, below Pleasant Valley Reservoir. Camp sites have water, grills, and vault toilets. Glacier View Campground

Glacier View has 40 sites off Hwy 395 just 1/2 mile north of Big Pine. It is at 4,000 ele. There are no reservations. Fess are $10.00 per night. The campgrounds have flush toilets, piped water, tables, and grills. Glacier View Campground

Baker Creek Campground

Baker Creek Campground can be reached from Hwy 395 by taking Baker Creek Rd. about 1 mi NW of Big Pine. There are 70 sites available at here without reservations. The campground has vault toilets, piped water, tables and grills. Fees are $10.00 per night. Baker Creek goes through the campground with a fishing pond developed for the kids. Taboose Creek Campground

Taboose Creek Campground is 12 miles south of Big Pine on Hwy 395. Take the Taboose Creek Road about 1 mile from the Highway. Taboose has about 55 sites, piped water, vault toilets, tables and grills. Fees are $10.00 per night. Rock Creek Lake Area

Rock Creek Campground

28 sites along the shores of Rock Creek Lake at 9,700 feet. None of these sites are reservable and most are tent sites. Sites are $15.00 /day with a 7 day max. Piped water, Restrooms, Restaurant and Store nearby at Rock Creek Lodge.

East Fork Campground

East Fork has 133 sites. It can provide space for both RV's and tents along the Rock Creek below Rock Creek Lake. Sites are $15.00/day with a 14 day max. Piped Water, Restrooms, Restaurant and Store at Rock Creek Lodge. Some sites are reservable. A map site is available through the Rock Creek website. Check out: East Fork Campground .

Pine Grove and Upper Pine Grove Campground

There are 19 sites available at here without reservations. These are Family sites along a meadow environment. They are $15.00 per night, piped water, Chemical toilets, and is close to Rock Creek. Nearby Rock Creek Lodge provides Showers.

French Camp

There are 86 sites available. The camp is at 7,100 ele about 1/4 mile from Tom's Place off Hwy 395. Sites are reservable. Fee's are $15.00 per day with a 21 day max. Piped water, Flush Toilets.

Big Pine Creek Area

Big Pine Creek Campground

Take Big Pine Creek Road from Hwy 395 in Big Pine and go 10 miles southwest. There are 30 sites available, 18 sites are RV and 12 are tent sites. The area is a Jeffrey Pine Woodland adjacent to Big Pine Creek. The creek is well stocked with Rainbows and Browns. Nearby Glacier Lodge provides a store. Upper Sage Flat Campground

Take Big Pine Creek Road from Hwy 395 in Big Pine and go 8.5 miles southwest. Upper Sage Flat has 21 sites at an elevation of 7,600 feet. Located in a Jeffrey Pine Woodland adjacent to Big Pine Creek. Facilities have vault toilets, piped water, tables and grills. Camp Hosts are available with firewood. At 8100 feet elevation. From Highway 395 in the center of Bishop, turn west on Line Street (Highway 168) and continue west for 14 miles then south on South Lake Road. The campground is 1 mile up South Lake Road. There are 106 sites available. Piped water, Flush Toilets, Dump Station. Camp Hosts are available and will also have firewood. North Lake Campground

North Lake has 11 sites at an elevation of 9,500 feet. From Highway 395 in the center of Bishop, turn west on Line Street (Highway 168) and continue west for 16 miles, turn north on side road for 3 miles. Fees are $14.00 per night. Sites are not reservable.

At 8700 feet elevation. From Highway 395, take Mammoth Lakes Road to Lake Mary Road. Go 3.0 miles to the campground. There are 94 sites available. Piped water, Flush Toilets, Dump Station. New Shady Rest Campground

New Shady Rest has 165 sites at an elevation of 7,800 feet. Take US 395 to State Hwy.203 to Mammoth Lakes. Turn right on Saw Mill Rd. Campground is on the right. Campground is 1/2 miles east of town. Sherwin Creek Campground

Sherwin Creek has 87 sites at an elevation of 7,600 feet. Take US 395 to State Highway 203 to Mammoth Lakes, left at first traffic light in town onto Old Mammoth Road. South 0.9 miles to Sherwin Creek Road, then left 2 miles to campground. Facilities have flush toilets, piped water, tables and grills. Camp Hosts are available with firewood. Convict Lake Campground

Convict Lake has 88 sites at an elevation of 7,600 feet. From Highway 395 , 10.5 miles southeast of Mammoth Lakes. Fees are $14.00 per night. Sites are not reservable.
Facilities have flush toilets, piped water, tables and grills. Camp Hosts are available with firewood. The lake is well-stocked with Rainbows.

Campground is located in the town of June Lake at an elevation of 7,600 feet. Turn left off of Hwy 395 onto Hwy 158. Campground is on the right side of the highway. There are 22 sites available. Has 10 sites at an elevation of 7,600 feet. Take US 395 to its southern junction with Highway 158. One mile southwest of June Lake on Highway 158. Fees are $15.00 per night. Oh! Ridge Campground

Oh! Ridge has 148 sites at an elevation of 7,600 feet. 350 miles north of Los Angeles and 150 miles south of Reno, take US 395 to its southern junction with Highway 158. Take 158 1 mile to Oh Ridge. Turn right on June Lake Beach Road for 1/2 mile and turn left. Road ends at entrance to campground. Fees are $15.00 per night. Facilities have flush toilets, piped water, tables and grills. Silver Lake Campground

Cattleguard Campground

Cattleguard has 74 sites at an elevation of 7,600 feet. 350 miles north of Los Angeles and 150 miles south of Reno, take US 395 to its southern junction with Highway 158. Take 158 1 mile to Oh Ridge. Turn right on June Lake Beach Road for 1/2 mile and turn left. Road ends at entrance to campground. Fees are $15.00 per night. Facilities have Chemical toilets, stream water, tables and grills. Bridgeport Area

Lower Twin Lakes Campground

Take US Highway 395 which runs through Bridgeport. From the south, you would turn left at the Texaco. Travel on the Twin Lakes Road for about 9.6 miles, then make a left turn onto South Twin Road and go approximately 0.6 miles across the bridge. Lower Twin Lakes is located in large Jeffrey pine trees and sagebrush. Robinson Creek runs by the campground and Lower Twin Lakes is within walking distance. Interpretive programs are provided at Robinson Creek Campground, one mile away. There is good fishing in both Robinson Creek and Upper and Lower Twin Lakes. There is also good hiking opportunities in the area. Firewood is sold at the campground. There are 22 sites available. Piped water, Chemical Toilets, Fire Rings. Camp Hosts are available and will also have firewood. The lakes are well-stocked with Rainbows. Fees are $13.00 per night. Reservations can be made 4 days in advance. Robinson Creek Campground

Has 54 sites at an elevation of 7,600 feet. Highway 395 runs through Bridgeport. Turn south on the Twin Lakes Road at the Texaco. Travel on the Twin Lakes Road for about 9.3 miles, left turn at Robinson Creek Campground.This Campground is located in the mountains with large Jeffrey pine trees and sagebrush. Robinson Creek runs by this campground, and nearby are the Lower and Upper Twin Lakes and Hoover Wilderness. Opening and closing dates depend on the weather condition. Bears are in the area. There is good fishing in Robinson Creek and Upper/ Lower Twin Lakes. Good hiking and hunting, opportunities in the area Interpretive programs are conducted July 4 through Labor Day Robinson Creek is split into two separate campgrounds. Robinson Creek North has sites 26-54, Robinson Creek South has sites 1-25. Fees are $13.00 per night. Facilities have Flush toilets, piped water, tables and grills. Trumball Lake Campground

Trumball has 45 sites at an elevation of 9,500 feet. Travel 13.5 miles south from Bridgeport on Highway 395. Turn right at Conway Summit. Travel 5.9 miles on Forest Road 21 to where the asphalt turns to gravel. Turn right at campground entrance. Located at a high elevation, in the lodgepole pine trees, with the Hoover Wilderness nearby. Firewood is sold at the campground. Most sites are shaded. Many local lakes and high peaks. Facilities have Vault toilets, piped water, tables and grills. Reservations available for sites 1-18.
Reservations can be made 4 days in advance. Fees are $11.00 per night with a 14 day maximum. Trumbull Lake Campground.

Buckeye Campground

Buckeye has 65 sites at an elevation of 7,000'. From Bridgeport, drive 7 miles southwest on the Twin Lakes Road to Doc and Al's Resort. Turn right at the resort and follow the road around behind it for three miles. Follow the signs to the campground entrance. Buckeye Creek flows next to the campground and provides opportunities for a different kind of fishing than most areas. The creek isn't as crowded as most of the other streams in the area and it doesn't get fished as much due to the fact that there isn't easy access to Buckeye Creek like there is to Robinson Creek. The nearest lakes are the Twin Lakes. The campground is well shaded and has water available, flush toilets, and it is paved. Fees are $9.00 per night. No reservations.

West Walker River Area

Leavitt Meadows Campground

Leavitt Meadows has 16 sites at an elevation of 7,000 feet. Take Highway 108 from Highway 395 north of Bridgeport. Fees are $9.00 per night. Facilities have Vault toilets, piped water, tables and grills. No reservations. Leavitt Meadows Campground.

Chris Flat Campground

Chris Flat has 15 sites at an elevation of 6,600'. From Bridgeport, drive 20 miles north on highway 395. The campground is right off 395 on the right hand side of the road. The West Walker River flows through the campground and provides excellent fishing. The West Walker River has been nominated for National Wild and Scenic River designation. Chris Flat has water available, vault toilets, and the campground is paved. Fees are $10.00 per night. No reservations. Chris Flat Campground

Sonora Bridge Campground

Sonora Bridge has 23 sites at an elevation of 6,800 feet. Take Highway 108 from Highway 395 north of Bridgeport. Fees are $9.00 per night. Facilities have Vault toilets, piped water, tables and grills. No reservations. Sonora Bridge Campground.

Bootleg Campground

Bootleg has 63 sites at an elevation of 6,600'. From Bridgeport, drive 22 miles north on highway 395. The campground is right off 395 on the left hand side of the road. The West Walker River is located just on the other side of the road from the campground and offers great fishing. The West Walker River has been nominated for National Wild and Scenic River designation. Most of the sites in Bootleg are shaded by Jeffrey Pine trees, and the campground is paved. Bootleg has water available and flush toilets. Fees are $10.00 per night. No Reservations.
